So, every Wednesday throughout the summer, there are concerts at Madison Square Park...no one that you've ever heard of really, but when I saw that a Bluegrass band was lined up in late June, I decided I had to go! (OK, so notice that it is almost August and I am just now posting about this...I MUST get better!!)
Anyway, the band was the real deal, and they were even from Nashville!! It was so cool to sit in a park two blocks from my new home and listen to some country folk on stage talk about my old home. They had all the instruments...banjo, mandolin, upright base, fiddle, and guitar (ofcourse.) It was three men and three women, so they had all the right voices for just about any song. I sat and listened for about an hour and a half, but finally had to leave because I was STARVING...
It was a lovely, free evening!
