Fort Tryon Park: the Cloisters

Sunday, September 14
Zach and I spent a GORGEOUS Sunday first attending church at All Souls. Then, stumbling upon a Street Fair on Third Ave. as we looked for a good lunch spot. We picked a cute sports bar with an open front so we could sit on the street, had some GREAT food and a couple of beers, and then headed up to Fort Tryon Park, which is the grounds for the Cloisters Museum. (operated by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, it's European art and architecture).

Anyway, if no one told you you were in Manhattan, you would never ever know. It is so amazingly gorgeous up there. Such a nice change of pace! This was another time where I seriously felt like I had been on vacation, just by taking a 30 minute subway ride. Manhattan is so amazing!
