Reasons to Be Pretty

The weekend after I met Melanie in Philly, she came up to visit me in NYC! We had an awesome weekend of playing tourist, sightseeing, more good eating! (ofcourse), and a wonderful night at the theater. We went to see Neil Labute's Reasons to Be Pretty, nominated for Best Play at this year's Tony Awards. Although I did not necessarily think it was best play material, I did enjoy the show. After the show we strolled through Times Square and over to Rockefeller Center. One of my favorites ways to spend an NYC evening!

This is one my favorite photos I've ever taken of Times Square!

Other sites we took in over the weekend included the requisite stroll across the Brooklyn Bridge, visiting Ground Zero & the waterfront outside the World Financial Center, the Public Library on 5th Ave., eating gyro's at Bryant Park, an awesome street fair in my neighborhood, and we also went for a run around the reservoir in Central Park! So many of my favorite New York things in one weekend!!

Melanie braves my fire escape...I'm too scared of heights to get out there.
