Summerstage is an INCREDIBLE free concert series in Central Park, held all summer long every summer. Just so happens, that on Friday, June 12, the kick-off show of this season was JOSH RITTER backed by the New York Pops! Of all my favorite artists in the world, Josh Ritter is the #1 on my list of artists who I have never seen live!!! I could not have been more stoked.
And the venue, Rumsey Playfield, was the perfect quaint venue! Beautiful outdoor spot, room to spread a blanket, and still felt intimate and not too crowded. Couldn't have asked for a more lovely night! Accompanied by my friend Amanda and her friend Carlie, we enjoyed an amazing free concert and Josh Ritter even brought out his "dear friend and special guest, GLEN HANSARD!!" Who is also on my list of top 10 artists of all time!!! So great!
PLUS, i just found this limited edition silk screened poster of the event on sale at his web site for only $8.00!! LOVE IT! Just bought it. :)
