Zach and I started out the evening with some Sangria at one of my most favorite venues in the entire city, Pippa, a Spanish/tapas bar with amazing decor (its technically owned by the lighting and home furnishing shop next door, and has probably around 100 dimly lit chandeliers of all shapes and sizes throughout the bar and dining room. Morgan then joined us, fresh off the bus and just in time for the second pitcher of Sangria.

Then, it was off to the main attraction of the night and one of the coolest spectacles I have ever witnessed in my entire life. A perfect choice for the occasion. We went to see the show, Fuerza Bruta––and because it is nearly impossible to explain, I have taken the description from the show's web site:
FUERZA BRUTA is a non-stop collision of dynamic music, visceral emotion, and kinetic aerial imagery. Featuring mind-blowing visual effects that must be seen to be believed - a man running full throttle through a series of moving walls, women frolicking in a watery world suspended just inches above the audience - FUERZA BRUTA is a theatrical experience that floods the senses. Having already taken South America and Europe by storm, FUERZA BRUTA is now thrilling New York City nightly. Come experience a 360° heart-pounding theatrical experience!
I wish I could do a better job of describing it, but I firmly believe it is something that EVERYONE who comes to New York should experience.

After the show, we went to check out a sushi place in Union Square. It was absolutely OUTSTANDING. Some of, if not THE BEST SUSHI I have had since living in New York. Morgan had given them a "singing" candle that plays Happy Birthday, which they anchored in wasabi on my plate and adorably attempted to write "Happy Bir." on the plate in some sort of terriaki sauce. All of the wait staff also sang Happy Birthday as they delivered our dinner.

Next, we needed to kill a little bit of time while waiting for Lex, who had just landed at LaGuardia and was heading our way, so we went to a Union Square pub that I had been wanting to try for a while "No Idea." (that's actually the name of the bar.)
